BTE Energy does the wire stringing operations according to the client’s technical specifications and in compliance with international standards

Wire Stringing Jobs:
• Installation of the insulator and running blocks
• Installation of the pilot wire
• Pilot pulling
• Stringing of conductors and earthwires
• Splicing and sagging
• Offsetting
• Installation of spacers, dampers and warning spheres
• Painting of towers if necessary

Before the wire stringing operation begins, the tensioning and pulling machines are placed according to the plan-profile of the land. Depending on the kind of towers, the size of the drums is determined.

For a quick and controlled operation wire stringing is done in coordination with different agencies since the line may cross the path of Coordination and timing are the most important factors of the wire stringing process. To avoid damaging the line and to provide planned sag values, the following points should be carefully observed:

• Machines and equipment should be selected in accordance with the characteristics of the line.
• Tension joints should be selected and done as per the hardware manufacturers’ specs.
• Wire tension should not exceed 75% of the sag value
• Sagging must be done within 48 hours after the pulling
• To avoid damaging the conductors in the drums, , the offset and connection to the clamps should be performed within 48 hours after the sagging is done.
• Dampers should be installed and ready to use as quickly as possible.
• According to the requirements the ROW should be cleared of all debris. For the sake of safety, all the above operations should be done with the necessary earthing.
• Towers should not be overloaded
